To teach middle school students about energy efficiency in a fun, engaging way (as requested by client, Eversource), BG BrandLab created an exploratory, virtual reality-enabled experience for students to learn in.
Using specially programmed iPads, students explore a custom-designed inflatable home to find areas where energy is being used. To interact with the more than 20 areas of energy-use placed throughout the environment, students scan images on the walls with their iPads. Once identified, the images come to life and students’ knowledge of energy conservation is put to the test.
This award-winning campaign launched Spring 2015 and continues to find success and spread important messaging, completing 225 programs by the end of 2017.
