Cynthia Needham
Senior Assistant Managing Editor for Editorial Innovation
As Senior Assistant Managing Editor for Editorial Innovation, Cynthia Needham works across the newsroom and business departments, aligning company strategy with journalism goals. She also co-heads Boston Globe Media Productions, developing Globe stories and other intellectual property for the entertainment industry, adapting projects into documentaries and scripted shows. Prior to this role, she oversaw breaking news and digital journalism, and served as the Globe’s political editor. She has also worked as a politics and crime reporter at The Providence Journal.
Ira Napoliello
Vice President of New Media
Ira Napoliello is the Vice President of New Media at Boston Globe Media, where he partners with the newsrooms to expand the reach of our journalism by serving as a bridge to the entertainment industry, helping to adapt compelling news stories into television series, feature films, and documentaries. Previously, Ira worked at Revolution Studios, Jason Hoffs Productions, and Davis Entertainment, developing films including The Predator, Shaft, Mr. Popper’s Penguins and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
